Fevziye Cengiz was enjoying at a night club on July 16, 2011 in İzmir and she was taken into custody as she didn't have her identity card with her. She was tortured by police officers at Karabağlar Police Station.&lt;br /&gt;

After the incident, Cengiz went to prosecutor's office in the morning and filed a criminal complaint. Hereupon, the police officers lodged a complaint against her by &amp;quot;She'd insulted us&amp;quot; accusation.&lt;br /&gt;

As the images of the incident were appeared on media, civil polices Hakan Yörük and Beyit Sezgin who tortured Cengiz and a police officer from Karabağlar Police Station who watched that moment were all suspended on December 9, 2011.&lt;br /&gt;

A lawsuit was filed against the police officers with a sentence of up to 5 years 9 months of imprisonment whereas a lawsuit was filed against Cengiz with a sentence of up to 6.5 years of imprisonment.&lt;br /&gt;
