The juveniles who had been transferred from Pozantı (Adana) Prison for Juveniles to Sincan (Ankara) Prison for juveniles on the grounds that they had been tortured, ill-treated, raped in Pozantı, were reportedly tortured and ill-treated also in Sincan Prison reported on 9 May 2012. The commission that went to the prison after a complaint made to the Ankara Bar Association’s The Centre of the Rights of Juveniles on 17 April 2012, reported that the juveniles were tortured in the room named as “sponged”. With the official complaint of the Ankara Bar Association investigations were launched by both Ankara and Sincan Chief Public Prosecution Offices.

İstanbul Heavy Penal Court No. 13 went on hearing the Ergenekon Case against 256 defendants -61 of them pre-trial detainees on 10 May 2012. Mahir Zorbey Demirkaya (21) who had been detained and taken to Efeler Police Station on the grounds that he was a draft dodger in Aydın Province on 4 March 2012 allegedly attempted to run away. Police officers opened fired and killed Mahir Zorbey Demirkaya. According to the security directorate he had been shot death with an accident. Police officer M.S. has been released after the incident but he was arrested with the objection to his release which was made to the superior court on 6 March 2012.

Aydın Heavy Penal Court No. 1 began to hear the case against police officer M.S. on 9 May 2012. The officer claimed that he stumbled and dropped his firearm and his firearm accidentally fired, so Mahir Zorbey Demirkaya killed with an accident.
The court released the defendant taking the period of time he served in prison and adjourned the hearing.

The police officers who assaulted Fevziye Cengiz at İzmir Karabağlar Police Station were on trial and İzmir Penal Court of First Instance No. 12 decreed "the police officers have to be on trial by the crime of torture" and sent the court file to High Criminal Court.
Lawyer Hanife Yıldırım talked to bianet: "It was so clear that there was the crime of torture. Our demand was going to High Criminal Court since the beginning of the trial process. We're happy as the court also accepted this."

At the hearing on February 15th, police officers were on trial by "simple assault" in İzmir Penal Court of Peace No. 17 and the court decreed "lack of jurisdiction" as there's also the crime of threat and sent the court file to Penal Court of First Instance No. 12.
"Decision of lack of jurisdiction is right, however its excuse is wrong. This file has to be sent to High Criminal Court" said Lawyer Yıldırım to bianet.

Fevziye Cengiz was enjoying at a night club on July 16, 2011 in İzmir and she was taken into custody as she didn't have her identity card with her. She was tortured by police officers at Karabağlar Police Station.

After the incident, Cengiz went to prosecutor's office in the morning and filed a criminal complaint. Hereupon, the police officers lodged a complaint against her by "She'd insulted us" accusation.

As the images of the incident were appeared on media, civil polices Hakan Yörük and Beyit Sezgin who tortured Cengiz and a police officer from Karabağlar Police Station who watched that moment were all suspended on December 9, 2011.

A lawsuit was filed against the police officers with a sentence of up to 5 years 9 months of imprisonment whereas a lawsuit was filed against Cengiz with a sentence of up to 6.5 years of imprisonment.

On February 2nd, the administrative inquiry of the police officers was completed. They were sentenced to demotion that was around 13 Euro (TL 30) per month. No disciplinary penalty was given to the police officers.

At the hearing on February 15th, police officers were on trial by "simple assault" in İzmir 17. Criminal Court of Peace and the court decreed "lack of jurisdiction" as there's also the crime of threat and sent the court file to Penal Court of First Instance No. 12. The expert report was ready on April and it clarified that Cengiz was tortured.

Police teams interfered with excessive use of force the group protesting the energy policy of the government and Hydroelectric Power Plants before the meeting of the meeting of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Hopa District of Artvin Province on 31 May 2011. Due to the excessive use of gas bombs retired teacher Metin Lokumcu (54) had a heart attack and passed away. The police officer who fell from the top of the speeding up election bus and eight others were wounded.

Hopa Chief Public Prosecution Office launched a case against three juveniles -R.A., B.K. and Y.A.- in connection with the above mentioned incidents reported on 9 May 2012.

In the indictment the stones that had been allegedly thrown to the law-enforcement officers by the suspects were defined as “weapons” and the juveniles were charged with “opposing to the Law No. 2911 on Meetings and Demonstrations”, resisting officers on duty”, “wounding officers” and “harming public goods” and the prosecutor asked for their imprisonment up to 28 years.

Hopa Penal Court of First Instance accepted the indictment and wil begin to hear the case in the near future.

On 24 May 2012 Malatya Heavy Penal Court No. 3 will hear the case against Singer Pınar Aydınlar in connection with the songs she sang in the 10th Munzur Culture and Nature festival that was held in Hozat District of Tunceli Province in 2010 on charges of “praising crime and criminal” under the Article of 215/1 of TPC and “making propaganda of an illegal organisation” under Article 7/2 of Fighting with Terrorism Law reported on 9 May 2012.

Later they tried to make us believe that Cemil had escaped. How can someone who just vomited with no pants on run away among 100 people. Outside the people would catch him believing that he came from a lunatic asylum.
