On this site maintained with MediaWiki you find some kind of backup system for the daily bulletins that the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (HRFT) publishes on human rights abuses in Turkey. The German support group of the HRFT, the Democratic Turkey Forum (DTF) created this duplication in case that the site of the HRFT crashes or is not accessible.

Basic info on HRFT and DTF
The Democratic Turkey Forum (DTF)
The Democratic Turkey Forum was established in Germany in 1990. Its main concerns are human rights and democracy in Turkey. DTF is not affiliated to any organization or political party and does not run an office or administration. DTF was recognized as working for common benefit and, therefore, donations to it are tax-free.
DTF considers itself as the German Support Group for the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (HRFT). On its website DTF makes use of material from the Documentation Center of HRFT (daily bulletins in English and Turkish).
The Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (HRFT)
The Human Rights Foundation of Turkey was established in 1990 on initiative of the Human Rights Association (HRA). Both organizations are committed to fight against human rights abuses in their country. The two main areas of professional work of HRFT are the documentation of human rights violations and the treatment and rehabilitation of torture survivors.
Offices for the treatment of torture survivors have been set up in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Adana and Diyarbakir. The treatment is free of charge. By the end of the year 2009 the number of treated torture survivors had reached almost 12,000.
The Documentation Center is run in Ankara. Human rights violations are documented in daily bulletins, annual and special reports. The reports are published in Turkish and English.
The HRFT does not accept money from institutions that contribute to human rights violations. The work of the HRFT is supported by a large number of volunteers and donations from individuals. Among the various national and international institutions that support the HRFT are: the UN, the Council of Europe, the Red Cross and Amnesty International.
On the homepage of the HRFT you can find the details for a contact to the HRFT.
