On 30 May 2011 Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No. 14 went on hearing the case against 19 defendants in connection with the murder of Hrant Dink, the editor-in-chief of the Agos Newspaper, in front of the newspaper’s building in Şişli District of Istanbul Province on 19 January 2007.
The court adjudicated to investigate the cell phone records of Osman Hayal in order to determine whether there is another perpetrator other than Ogün Samast in the scene of crime or not and adjourned the hearing to 28 March 2011 (bianet.org, 30 May).

Unidentified people attacked on the election office of Sebahat Tuncel, an independent deputy candidate supported by the Labour, Freedom and Democracy Blog, with stones in Kartal District of Istanbul Province on 30 May 2011 causing material damage (ANF, 30 May).
Twelve people were wounded –two of them stabbed- and 10 people were detained in the quarrel between the supporters of Emrullah Bingül, an independent deputy candidate supported by the Labour, Freedom and Democracy Blog, and members of Nationalist Action Party (MHPNationalist Movement Party ) in Kocaeli Province on 30 May 2011 (Milliyet, 30 May).
A.G. attacked on the group that conducts the election campaign on behalf of the Justice and Development Party (AKPJustice and Development Party ) with an axe in Gerze District of Sinop Province on 30 May 2011. He was detained after the incident (Cumhuriyet, 30 May).
Unidentified people attacked on the election office of the Nationalist Action Party (MHP) in Avcılar District of Istanbul Province on 31 May 2011 with a sound bomb causing material damage (Sabah, 31 May).
