Gülistan Tosun (30) who was sitting on the bench in the opposite of the security directorate was seriously wounded with police fire on the grounds that she did not obey the stop warning in Karlıova District of Bingöl Province on 29 September 2011 (Radikal, 29 September).

Five soldiers were wounded in the attack on an army vehicle in Beytüşşebap District of Şırnak Province on 29 September 2011 (Vatan, 30 September).

On 22 September 2011 A.S., a shopkeeper in Aksaray Province from Birecik District of Şanlıurfa Province, and his cousin were detained by the police officer that he had argued with on the grounds that he did not park his car away from his shop a week ago.
They were taken to the Şehit Vedat Ulusoy Police Centre and forced to stand. They were insulted with saying “all of you are traitors”. Their lawyers Bülent Kurt was beaten in the centre (ANF, 29 September).

Ankara Heavy Penal Court No. 12 went on hearing the case against 27 defendants (13 of the pre-trial detainees) who had been detained in the operation against Atilim Newspaper and Science Education Aesthetic Culture art Studies Foundation’s (BEKSAV) Socialist Platform of the Oppressed (ESP) and Socialist Youth Association (SGD), Sun News Agency in İstanbul, İzmir, Ankara, Diyarbakır, Bursa, Malatya, Çanakkale, and Tunceli Provinces on 8 September 2009 in connection with the funeral of Kutsiye Bozoklar (Işık Kutlu) on 19 July 2009 on charges of “committing offence on behalf of an illegal organisation” and “being a member of an illegal organisation” under Article 314 of TPCTurkish Penal Code on 29 September 2011.
The hearing was adjourned for the preparation of the legal argument of the lawyers to 22 December 2011 (atilim.org, 29 September).

Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No. 6 sentenced 11 defendants - Silvan Mayor Fadıl Erdede, Province General Assembly Chairperson Fatma Kızılkaya, Fahri Azbay, Hasan Zor, Hüsniye Düzel, Eşref Güler, Enver Altun, Fikriye Tanrıkulu, Hüseyin Atay, Hüsamettin Çiçek and Fatma Yıldırım- to 10 months of imprisonment each in connection with their petition to Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecution Office to protest the “Honourable Öcalan” cases in Diyarbakır Province on charges of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation” under Article 7/2 of Fighting with Terrorism Law on 29 September 2011 (Milliyet, 30 September).

Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No. 6 sentenced 17 out of the 34 members of the “Peace and Democratic Solution Group” that came to Turkey from Kandil Mountain and Maxmur Camp on 19 October 2009 to 20 months of imprisonment each in connection with their public statement in the Human Rights Association’s (IHD) Diyarbakır Branch on 30 November 2009 on charges of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation” under Article 7/2 of Fighting with Terrorism Law (Radikal, 30 September).
