One police officer was killed and two police officer and two civilians were injured when they were shot at in Diyarbakır, Sur district in the Mardinkapı area on 22 September 2011. Seven people were detained because of their alleged involvement in the attack (Radikal, 22 September).
During a clash in Şırnak, Gabar mountain area on 22 September 2011 one militant died (Zaman, 22 September).

On 22 September 2011 it was learned that onb 16 September 2011 prisoners fro Karataş (Adana) Women's Prison refused to take off their clothes and shoes when they were taken to court. They were beaten and punished with 12 days in isolation (ozgurradyo.com, 22 September).

The trial of Nedim Şener, reporter of the daily Milliyet, imprisoned in Silivri (Istanbul) L-type Prison in connection with the Ergenekon investigations in connection with an article of 19 November 2009 entitled "Marriage contract of one million dollar" and based on charges of having violated private life concluded on 22 September 2011.
Bakırköy Penal Court 2 heard the defence of Nedim Şener who said that he wanted to inform the public with the article and asked for acquittal. The chair of the court ruled that Nedim Şener had not violated private life and acquitted him (ntvmsnbc.com, 22 September).

On 22 September 2011 the final hearing against six people who had participated in a demonstration in Adana prior to the local elections of 29 March 2009 and were charged with having made propaganda for an illegal organization was held.
Adana Heavy Penal Court 7 heard the final pleading of the prosecutor and the final words of the defendants and sentenced Hatice Elcik (32), Yakup Öztürk (22), Veysi Tan (21), Ömer Buzlu (21), Mehmet İpekten (20) and Gökhan Argun (25) to eight years' imprisonment for having made propaganda for an illegal organization and conducted an action in the name of an illegal organization without being members of it (Cumhuriyet, 22 September).
(09/103) KCK/TMKCK Par lament Turkey trial in Şanlıurfa continued…
On 22 December 2011 Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court 5 continued to hear the case of 28 defendants, six of them in pre-trial detention charged with being members of the structure KCK/TM.
“The court rejected the demand of the 28 defendants charged with membership of an illegal organization to defend themselves in Kurdish; ordered the release of two defendants and adjourned the hearing to complete the missing parts of the file (DHA, 22 September).

Of the 22 people who during parallel house raids in Şırnak, Silopi and Beytüşşebap districts had been detained on 20 September 2011 16 people including BDPPeace and Democracy Party members and executives were arrested on 22 September 2011 on allegations of being members of the illegal KCK (ANF, 22 September).
