On 21 December 2009 Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No. 2 acquitted Human Rights Foundation of Turkey’s (HRFT) Diyarbakır Representative Lawyer Sezgin Tanrıkulu and Lawyer Nesip Yıldırım, in connection with the agenda that the Diyarbakır Barr Association printed in Turkish and in Kurdish in 2007 on charges of “misconduct in office” (TİHV, 21 December).

Erdal Şahin, a prisoner in Tekirdağ Type Closed Prison No. 1, went to prison clinic to mention that the solitary confinement sentence given to him would worsen his health and the physician in the clinic said to him that “Dirty Kurd you deserved the sentence” reported on 21 December 2009 (Günlük, 21 December).
