(07/049) Operations and clashes in South-east…
A soldier was killed and another was wounded in the clash between Turkish Armed Forces and Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s (PKKKurdish Workers' Party ) armed wing People’s Defence Forces (HPGPeople's Defence Forces (armed wing of the PKK) ) in the rural part of Bayrambaşı Municipality of Silvan District of Diyarbakır Province on 14 July 2011. According to the accounts of the witnesses, 12 soldiers and 7 were militants were killed and six soldiers and six militants were wounded in the clash or in the fire that started with the bombs that were dropped from the aircrafts. The Turkish General Staff claimed that the fire started with the hand grenades thrown by the militants and the soldiers were killed in the fire. Bayrambaşı Municipality was closed to trespassing due to the clash that has been still going on (ntvmsnbc.com; ANF, 15 July).
Two workers working in the construction site of a gendarmerie headquarters were abducted by the HPG militants in Tunceli Province on 14 July 2011 (ntvmsnbc.com, 14 July).
A police officer was wounded with a firearm in the attack in Çukurca District of Hakkâri Province on 14 July 2011 (yuksekovahaber.com, 15 July).

Unidentified people attacked on the Peace and Democracy Party’s (BDPPeace and Democracy Party ) Ankara Province Branch office with Molotov Cocktails on 15 July 2011 after the clash in Silvan District of Diyarbakır Province on 14 July 2011 (Radikal, 15 July).
Material damage occurred in the BDP’s District Branch Office in the attack with stones in Gemlik District of Bursa Province on 15 July 2011 (ntvmsnbc.com, 15 July).

Orhan D. (28) was shot death by the police team in Avcılar District of Istanbul Province on 15 July 2011. The authorities claimed that Orhan D. shot the first bullet (DHA, 15 July).
(07/052) Ongoing KCKUnion of Communities in Kurdistan Case in Hakkâri Province…
Van Heavy Penal Court No. 3 began to hear the case against 15 defendants who had been detained in Hakkâri Province on 9 June 2010 in the operation against the alleged members of the Koma Ciwaken Kurdistan-Kurdistan Communities League /Assembly of Turkey (KCK/TMKCK Par lament Turkey ), the KCK is the intend to organize the Kurdish people as an umbrella organization that includes Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) on 14 July 2011.
The court heard the legal arguments of the defendants and declined the releasement of the pre-trial detainees (Cumhuriyet, 14 July).
