Police officers in plain clothes were seen as beating a 15 year-old boy Mis Street in Beyoğlu District of İstanbul Province on 9 July 2011. It is also claimed that the boy wounded from his head was not hospitalised (ANF, 11 July).

On 11 July 2011 police teams search the buses that were carrying students to the Sixth Collective Summer Camp organised by Student Collectives in Dikili District of Izmir Province and detained five students on the grounds that there are search warrants against them (ANF, 11 July).

Eight people were arrested on the grounds that they sold Halkın Günlüğü Newspaper which had a confiscation verdict against in Menemen District of İzmir Province on 11 July 2011 de on charges of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation” (ozgurradyo.com, 12 July).
Mehmet Edeş (18) who had been detained in home raid on the grounds that he shouted illegal slogans in the Newroz Celebration in Dörtyol District of Hatay Province on 21 Mart 2011 was arrested on charges of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation” by Dörtyol Penal Court of Peace on 11 July 2011 (ANF, 11 July).
