Sekvan Yaman who was invited to Uludere Security Directorate to give testimony in connection with a concert that had been held in Uludere District of Şırnak Province on 25 September 2009 was arrested on charges of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation” on 2 December 2009’ (Gündem, 2 December).

Tatvan Heavy Penal Court Peace sentenced Özcan Yurtada, Hacer Kara, Daim Nuyan and Ömer Arınç to ten months of imprisonment each in connection with “shouting illegal slogans” in the election meeting in Tatvan District of Bitlis Province on 7 March 2009’ for the local elections on 29 March 2009 on charges of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation” under Article 7/2 of Fighting with Terrorism Law on 2 December 2009 (Gündem, 2 December).

İstanbul Security Directorate’s Fighting with Terrorism Department teams raided on Democratic Society Party’s (DTP) Esenler District Branch office and detained a person in the night of 2 December 2009 (Hürriyet, 3 December).
(12/021) Incidents in the demonstrations to attract attention to the prison conditions of Abdullah Öcalan…
Several incidents took place in the 31st anniversary of the foundation of Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s (PKKKurdish Workers' Party ) (27 November 1978) and in the demonstrations to attract attention to the prison conditions of Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı F Type Closed Prison. A person was wounded and five people were detained in the intervention to the demonstration in Diyadin District of Ağrı Province on 2 December 2009’. Five out of the 20 detainees were arrested on charges of “shouting illegal slogans” in Siirt Province and five people were arrested in Yüksekova District of Hakkâri Province on 2 December 2009 (ntvmsnbc.com; Vatan; ANF, 2 December).
